Valentines Day is coming up. What are your plans for Valentines Day? Do you even believe in the holiday or is it all a sham to you? Does anyone here even know where Valentines Day came from? (No offense, to Mr. Valentines)

Valentines is obviously getting very commercialized. Instead of actually trying to give people your affection, others just use gifts and stuff to suck up to them. Not that I think gifts are bad- I'm just saying sometimes it's what some people only want =\ And I got this: It's pretty interesting (and slightly creepy when you think about it). It's sad not a lot of people know about this

I agree with Valentine's day being another one of those halmark holidays. The only thing I like about them, is the big sale on chocolates after it's over!! Lol... but there's nothing special about Valentine's day chocolate, just how it's wrapped.
That's neat about Sir Valentine. Lolol, so when we say "from your Valentine" we're referring to him xD. That's nice.
If I'd like to go out on Valentine's Day does that make me cliche? D:

yea it is comercialised but its also has all those warm fuzzy feelings associated with it like christmas does (usually brought on by watching those chickflick or family movies).. but yea it makes lots of single ppl feel bad for being alone and give taken ppl stress over what to give the other person. interesting to see the origins behind it.. valentine is darn cool last name
