Global warming is now becoming a serious issue. There are many different opinions on this and many ways of going about it. I was just wondering what everyone here though about this. Here are some questions just to get this thing started. You don't have to answer all of them, just the ones you have an opinion for.
Do you think we should be worried about global warming? What do you think the government should be doing about it? What do you think people should be doing themselves about it? What are you doing about it?
I definitely think we should be worrying about global warming. Global warming effects the WHOLE WORLD and every living thing on the planet.
I think the government should recycle as many things as possible. As far as I know we only recycle paper, cans, and bottles. There are many other things we could be recycling. There should be fines or something, for those using more energy than one needs. Companies should stop heavily packaging all their crap. Toilet paper companies should stop making DOUBLE and TRIPLE quilted toilet paper! Wtferk! we use it ONCE! on our BUMS! use your minds.
We should recycle more, stop buying into products that contribute to global warming (keep it simple). TURN OFF anything that isn't being USED. Use flourescent lighting. I don't give a moshofofo's bum if the light isn't natural. Light is light, as long as you can see, it's good enough. Use your BLANKETS, put MORE clothes on! You don't have to be a wh0re in your own home. Turn down that freaking heater!
I recycle. The heater in my room is off and I hardly use the light. My dad replaced almost all the light bulbs to flourescent lighting. My mom gardens o.o and my toilet paper is two ply xD WOOT. im working on it okay?
Thanks =)
edit: I also nag people about recycling =)

LOL my toilet paper is 2 ply too lol whatttt xD
Do you think we should be worried about global warming? Well yes, if you want the civilization to continue live. For us though, it will change but it woudnt be as bad...
What do you think people should be doing themselves about it? Stop using styrofoam, less plastic, plant EVERYWHERE, stop buying useless things, recycle paper, bottls and juice boxes!!!!
=\....As for me, I also dont use heaters...I turn off my heater o__o when everyone has their on...I actually like the cold XD
My family also recycles our cans, papers, bottles and stuff

Bravo LYCHEE! =) I agree that global warming could wipe out civilization too.
I heard Toronto recycles plastic bags. We should get that here! I throw out plastic bags, and so do others. I wonder why we dont have that.

I think that's a good idea though. Because people take so many sometimes.
I also hate how America does NOT recycle cans or bottles or juice boxes. They should start.

most of the government dosent really care =_= they are gold digger. Everyone must worry about it because is really getting worse. I think the first step to do is giving up car and support and get a Hybrid car.

Hybrids yeah, or smart cars, or just using transit, a bike, or walking =) Good idea. I forgot about that one. You'll get healthy and save the world! But that's hard for some people. Cuz we're all so lazy x.x

I'm really annoyed that we don't use more sustainable sources of energy like solar power, wind energy, tidal power and geothermal energy which are all limitless and the oil companies are just thinking bout themselves and their profit when they try to get in the way of ANY progress in those fields. We'll be doomed by those business men Either way global warming is gonna happen and I think we should be altering infrastructure to suit the changing weather patterns and what not.. Also my trip to India changed my views on global warming.. the garbage system there is terrible (assuming one even exists). i guess there's a minor garbage collecting program in big cities. there's not recycling there so the packaging is just dumped in places.. there are fields and fields full of garbage and plastic on the outskirts of some towns.. I even saw livestock eating from those piles..i took a picture of it becuz i was just so shocked by it but it didnt turn out well.. for fresh produce and food, vendors often use newspaper which i liked except the newspaper technically has ink that can rub off. in villages people either bury their garbage in their back yard (i had to do that several times) or just burn it which is what most ppl do.. they really make the most of things and reuse everything possible so i really liked some aspects of the way they did things but its not becuz they're green (they cant afford to be) but just being cheap omg you know those flexible metal containers you can get food in from certain restaurants and they're covered with cardboard? Well we got some and the cardboard that restaurant always used was from a catfood box xD at first we were like what?! they gave us catfood? oh yea also, here's a cool website i found recently www.breathingearth.net/

Ya, I'd like to make the switch to green power but it's not really up to us kiddos right now. I vow to live green and make green choices when I grow up and get outta my parents' house! Who's with me? Yeaaaaaaaa. I don't know why Ontario has a better recycling system than us. We're in the same country... they should offer the same recycling services just like they offer the same health care! Booo, and same with minimum wages! (That's off topic too, but gee, I really dislike our Premier V_V) And yea, sometimes I complain about the lack of green choices/services here in BC when there really are none in other countries =/. If they started some that would create more jobs though. Then there would be less bums D: I understand that developing countries might not have recycling and other environmentally friendly things, but AMERICA. Come on, they are so far from being a third world country. I think it really does come down to profit when you look at why there's a lack of green choices. We have all the means of doing it, tons of things have been invented already, and some of them are already being put to use. It's just that the eco-friendly option is never usually the cheapest option, and people would rather make profit then preserve the Earth. This one lady wrote an article, and she is exactly what I'm taking about. CLICK HERE to read the article. I can only hope that our generation will differ from the majority of old people who stick with their cheap ways. *modified* Cool link btw. It's creepy to watch all those numbers go up/down cuz you know it's happening even though you can't see it. The background sounds reminds me of bugs though
