Although same sex marriage is not allowed in Christianity, I myself am not against it. That does not mean I support it, but I think people should have the right to choose whom they love. What do you all think about same sex marriage or same sex relationships in general?

As a Christian i was taught to know that being homosexual is wrong, but also not to discriminate homosexual people. Although most Christians disregard the "don't discriminate" part and want to kill all homosexuals.
Personally i'm against same sex marriage, but as for same sex relationships i'm kind of in the neutral section. I believe it's wrong but then again i could care less. But if the couple really do love each other then there's really nothing you can do about it, so i'm not against it.

I did say an extinction would await us, if people were to heavily into same sex relationship. Same sex relationship is purely wrong because god didn't create male/female outta its hobbies.

Well, Im kinda ehh about this. I have nothing against gay/lesbian people but at the same time, you kinda have to respect the religion. I think it's kinda disrespectful to change a religion thats been the same for hundreds of years (Maybe...)
So I would say gay relationsips = yes. Gay marriage = ??
Also, isnt marriage about a man and a woman having children?

Having children = being a family. Marriage = sharing your life with someone you love.
LYCHEE & Yellow Banana >> I dont see why same sex relationships and same sex marriages differ. Aren't they the same? Just to a different extent? Shouldn't your opinions on both be the same??
LYCHEE >> I do think respecting religion is important, but I also think respecting one another is just as important. Christianity clearly states some things are good, and some things are bad. I understand when it comes to violence, and betrayal, but homosexuality does us no harm. Does it? oO Why is it wrong? x.x Because God put intended man to love women? Is that it?

Christianity clearly states that everyone is equal, so we should not treat homosexuals differently. But it also states that Christians must know that being homosexual is wrong, because God intended relationships to be between a man and a woman. So Christians shouldn't be hating homosexuals, we just take the "wrong" a little too far. I also read up (I was bored at lunch so I read the bible ) that you should get married if you have no self control, cause this is human nature. BUT if you do have self control, stay unmarried (abstinence). This was talking about marriage between a man and a woman. They didn't mention anything about homosexuals because it was already considered wrong. Which is why alot of Christians are against it, we were all basically raised up knowing it's wrong. Besides it grosses out us guys when we see 2 guy's kissing.

Paopu > Yes, that is true. The purpose of marriage is about love and being one, but the main reason they differ is that God actually CLEARLY calls it a sin. The single line in Leviticus 18:22 tells everything
>You're right, I think that the reason it's a sin is because God did intend a man to love a woman. I dont think it's so much of a sin though....
What I dont get is why he created something like that. Maybe he's challenging them more to see if they would listen to him, to see if they can brush it away? I mean, they have to go through a lot of stuff, I've read that most gays/lesbians keep their sexual orientation locked in the closet because of fear. Most of them getting married and having children =\. That is wrong..
